Producer of Dance, Electronic and Latin
A.k.a. Federico Sánchez
Jin Yerei is the stage name of Federico Sánchez, a record producer born and raised in Munro, Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina. His music is a vivid fusion of electronic and latin music, exploring digital cumbia, folktrónica, IDM, hip-hop and minimal. In 2009, Federico started to put organic souds and rhythms under the Jin Yerei moniker, whitout taking his eyes from the dancefloor. In that time he released his first LP called Bootycumbiatraxx, based on DJ Funk's ghetto tech and the real suburban sounds from Argentina's deepest underground. By the end of 2011 he moves to Neuquén (Patagonia, South Argentina) where he continues to explore latin american rhythms, releasing his second independent album, called Bootycumbiatraxx vol.2: The Lost Tapes. He moved back to Buenos Aires in 2015, and there he finished his third album called 'Foráneo Cálido Pasmoso', released on Fertil Discos. Jin Yerei now has 3 different shows: as a solo artist (live PA with percussion and voices), as a band (with wood flute, piano and live percussion) or DJ set. The band performed live at Teatro Margarita Xirgu and Club Cultural Matienzo alongside Chancha Via Circuito, Lulacruza, El Remolón, Camanchaca, Barda and many more. As a DJ he shared parties with Kasper & Papol (Esperanza), Sr. Replicante (Urban Groove), Gustavo Lamas, Microesfera, Leonel Castillo, Alexis Cabrera (Mindshake, FUN), Chancha Vía Circuito (Crammed, ZZK Records), Sidirum (Regional, Fértil Discos), Barda (Regional, Fértil Discos), Juan Farcik (Archipel, Morrmusic), Barrio Lindo (Project Mooncircle), among others.
