João Gonçalves (Campina Grande, May 29, 1936) is a Brazilian composer, known for composing songs in two directions. One of his successes was Severina Xique-Xique, recorded in the voice of Genival Lacerda and released in 1985. Other artists have also recorded some of their songs, among them are Dominguinhos and Elba Ramalho, among others.
