João Mulato is a singer, composer and viola caipira player born in 1950 in Passos, Minas Gerais. He started his career around 1970 and has formed a series of duos in his life, most prominently with Bambico, the renowned duo João Mulato e Douradinho. He has also played with Pardinho after the later broke up his acclaimed duo with Tião Carreiro.
