Joan Adams from Oakland, California, USA She was lined up and was offered to be part of Count Basie's band. However, she never made it to the big time. She recorded one song in 1969 featuring Alfred Corley and decided to not go any further for personal reasons. There were some earlier recordings of Joan Adams back in the mid-1960's.They were done on a reel to reel tape. There was a time that maybe one day those reel to reel songs would eventually be distributed and released. Unfortunately, those songs on the reel to reel are forever lost as they were destroyed in California's infamous "Oakland firestorm of 1991"
