Singer / Musician of Blues
Born October 10, 1900 in Nesbit, Mississippi, where he lived all his days. Callicott was a blues singer and guitarist in the songster tradition who recorded 4 sides in 1930 until disappearing into obscurity. He was rediscovered by the field recorder George Mitchell in the late 1960s, and enjoyed a celebrated comeback until his death in 1969.
