Joe Carducci

Born in 1955 in Merced, CA, and raised outside of Chicago, IL, Joe Carducci is best known as the label manager and one-time co-owner of SST Records, for whom he worked from 1981 until 1986. He produced records for several SST artists, including the Minutemen and Saint Vitus and has authored several books, most notably the rock critique "Rock And The Pop Narcotic" and the memoir "Enter Naomi: SST, L.A., and All That...", the latter of which contained his memories and observations of his time at SST and the label's former photographer, the late Naomi Peterson. In recent years he also ran Owned & Operated Recordings with Bill Stevenson.
