Ancon Festival winner in 1974. He married actress and singer Regina Alcóver and had a son, singer-songwriter Gian Marco. He was born in Lima in 1943. His father's family came from a town called Chiavari, in Genova, Italy. His great-grandfather Bartolomeo came to America with some brothers and sisters.
