Irish musician, singer, songwriter, guitarist. Member of 1960s showbands The Capitol Showband and The Swingtime Aces; then a founding member of Irish folk group Sweeney's Men. Later became an aritst. Died of cancer in 2008. Knows as "Galway Joe" Dolan, to differentiate him from the showband leader Joe Dolan of Mullingar.
