He worked for Prestige and Verve Records in the 1960s as an executive, and in the 1970s managed Cobblestone before founding the labels Muse Records and Onyx Records (3), and later HighNote. Born in Jersey City, N.J. in 1929. Died on July 12, 2017 in New York. He was 88 years old.
