Pianist, keyboardist, arranger and composer. Born 19 November 1927 in Jackson, Tennessee. Bandleader of The Funk Brothers 1959-1962. He published an autobiographical novel in 1996 titled "Musicians, Motown, and myself". Jo Hunter died on 3 February 2007 in Detroit, Michigan.
