UK composer/songwriter. Made a career in the Rock 'N Roll era (he co-wrote, a.o. "Tutti Frutti") as well in the lighter genre of movie themes and songs for Doris Day. Later on in his career he wrote tunes for TV-shows (Bonanza and High Chaperral). He died on 9th October 2001 at the age of 84.
