Born Hendon, 1962. Black Label Executive, Catalogue owner, Lawyer, occasional producer. Brought up in Surrey, neighbor to David Oberle of Gryphon. Introduced to studio's by German emigre in 1978 with footballing mate Paul Heaton who then went on to form Tools Down, Housemartins and Beautiful South. Managed Snake Corps and tutored in reissue business in early 1980's by industry legend Joop Visser of Charly Records. Throughout 1980's worked on Jan Akkerman albums, meeting Barrie Masters Eddie and the Hot Rods. Arranged and produced recording sessions for original Yes guitarist Peter Banks and Levellers associate Paddy Stratton before joining EMI reissue subsidiary Disky as Head of UK Product and Europe after introducing first Digital Download system Liquid Audio. Teamed up with various niche independents labels Angel Air, Cherry Red, Voiceprint, Cuneiform, licensing own imprint of Impressiverecs for series of DVD releases of 1970's and 80's live concerts and broadcasts and gaining rights back for performers from broadcasters. Circle includes members of Renaissance, Showaddywaddy, Philip Goodhand-Tait whilst overseeing releases of Eddie & the Hot Rods and classical Deutsche Grammophon catalogue of Narciso Yepes for the Estate.
