Hans Johan Hegg (born 29 april 1973) is the lead singer of the Swedish death metal band Amon Amarth. He joined the band in 1991, He are informally called "Skäggis". At live performances with Amon Amarth, he is often bare-breasted with leather bracelet and a drinkinghorn on the side of his belt. He is in charge of writing the lyrics for Amon Amarth, and writes most about the Vikings, Norse mythology and the like. This has led to a new genre called Viking Metal, something they however disagree.
