ARCHIVE SERIES • DEUTSCHE GRAMMOPHON Recorded in Europe under the supervision of Dr. Erich Thienhaus "In these recordings, the Small Organ at St. Jakobi, Lübeck was used for the Passaglia in C Minor, the Schnitger Organ at Cappel was used for the Pastorale in F Major. It will be noticed that the pitch of the latter instrument is approximately a half-tone above our present standard. It was felt that a change from the Baroque pitch would impair the authenticity and color peculiar to this manificent instrument." Made in U.S.A.
