This documented interpretation of Brahms Symphonies was recorded only with a one-point microphone setup. It was cut direct-to-disc. It is pure analog (analog recording and analog master - AA). The recordings were especially made for this edition. There are no other formats like cd or mp3-files available. The whole edition is strictly limited to 1833 copies, which is Brahms year of birth. The international version is limited to 1200 copies. The Box-Set Contains a certificate hand-signed by Rainer Maillards and two original C-prints. Recorded live at the Berlin Philharmonie in September 2014 Microphones: one pair of Sennhaiser MKH 800 Twin in a Blumlein array Disc cutting lathe: Neumann VMS 80 6-LP Set - 180g vinyl - paper wrapped *Master Disc Nr. 251 (G1) had to be mastered from two backup tapes.
