Single UK 1969 on His Master's Voice label
Jazz (Contemporary Jazz)
In classwork, children may play all parts in turn. For presentation, the groups who are Earth, Water, Fire, Wood and Metal in Scene 1 can dance the Demon Imps in Scene 2; the remainder can dance as Monkeys in all three scenes and two children as soloists for King Monkey and the Demon Of Havoc. Simple masks can be made, in the Chinese tradition, to characterise Monkeys and Demon Imps.
