Collect all five great moments: Rising Stars Of Video Music Rock's Greatest Guitar Heroes A Tribute to John Lennon The Motown Sound ® Live Aid This Quaker Oats Granola Dipps® flexi-disc was one of five different Great Moments of Rock 'N Roll series flexi-discs that were given away in specially marked packages of Granola Dipps featuring a photo of the disc. The bars came in four colors (brown, green, red & yellow) corresponding to their flavor. The Quaker Oats Sweepstakes began in September of 1986 and ran until April 30, 1987. This disc contains an announcer talking about John Lennon and snippets of some of his songs from the Double Fantasy and Milk & Honey albums. Playing the record to the end revealed if you were a sweepstakes winner or not - at the end of the program, an announcer would come on and say "Congratulations, you are a winner!", and then state the prize won, or "Sorry you are not a winner!" and encourage you to try again. The grand prize was a 14 day trip for 4 people to the "Rock 'N Roll Capitals (sic) of the World" (New York, London, LA), a visit to a recording studio, and $5000 spending money. A total of 20,103 prizes were awarded.
