John "Puk" Quist

Producer
A.k.a. John Quist

Danish producer and engineer. Founded Puk Recording Studios in 1978, built it up to an international top-notch studio in the mid 1980's and ran it until 1992 when he was forced to sell it to CMC Records A/S for economic reasons. In 1993 Quist opened a small live venue, Rick's Café, in the nearby city of Randers that he ran until 2009. Around the same time he founded his Puk studio, he set up the label Puk (3), which only released a single LP.
