English guitarist, writer, producer, remixer, programmer, and engineer. Anderson, aka ' Lightfoot ’, studied music and composition at Sussex University in Brighton, in the early 1980s. He lived and worked in Brighton for a further five years teaching guitar, music, and studying jazz. After a move to London in 1990, he set up various computer/midi/tape based facilities, recording and producing demos for songwriters, as well as writing ambient dance music. He began working as a programmer/engineer for the independent label ' Anxious Records ' in the early-1990s, recording and developing new writers. It was through this connection that he, and the rapper JC 001, released ' Never Again ', which charted in the UK in 1993. Formed the collective 'Lightfoot' in the mid-1990s, who worked as Drum & Bass remixers for China Records ( The Art Of Noise / Heavy Shift ), Avex ( Every Little Thing ) and soul artist Diana Brown. During his time with China Records, he also released as an artist in his own right; on their Echo Drop label. Since then, he has largely chosen to work behind the scenes, collaborating with many artists in a variety of roles, including Ils, The Fatback Band, and Magnus Fiennes. He has also produced tracks for Long Lost Brother Records, Drum & Bass Recordings, Wildlife, Decca, Botchit & Scarper, and Marine Parade, whilst providing a wide range of music for various TV programmes through Ardent Productions, and Amphonic Music.
