Musician / Composer of Classical
A.k.a. John Boswell
Pianist and composer John Boswell grew up in a richly musical and artistic environment. His interest in musical theater lead to his working on Broadway productions of "The Secret Garden" and "Liza!" and the L.A. productions of "Berlin to Broadway With Kurt Weill" and "The Beautiful Lady". He also served as music director for such notables as Judy Collins and Bob Newhart, and composed music for TV shows like General Hospital and Santa Barbara. Boswell explored the more personal side of his music by performing in the vocal trio Wiseguys and through refined, emotional instrumental albums. Has released albums on the Hearts of Space label, which has re-released his prior works. John released his first solo piano album in 14 years in 2014 on My Quiet Moon Records with "Garden of they Sky." John is due to release his latest release "Night Magic" on 02/19/2019. For the last several years he's been musical director for Broadway's Scott Coulter, Faith Prince, Jason Graae and Carmen Cusack and the iconic Sheena Easton. He has played for cabaret chanteuse Maude Maggart for over 15 years.
