Recording engineer. John Calder started in the music and sound business as a teenager playing drums in a surf band (The Squires). After playing in the Benson Obermeyer Fruit Stand Band, John founded Podipto with Dan Lund, John Collins, Karen Lund and Jack Sundrud. John then became a recording engineer, working in Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Milan and Montreal, while sharing a Platinum Record, a Gold Record, a Gold Reel, a Monitor Award, a Muse Award and an AZA Top Honors Award.
