John Craig Cooper: Composer, Pianist, Innovator, Theorist Born 14.May.1925 - USA Missouri, Kansas City Pianist, studied at Kansas City Conservatory, University of Missouri, BA and MA with Charles Jones at Mills College, with Nadia Boulanger Fontainebleu, with Darius Milhaud at Aspen Institute, taught piano at King's College Briarcliff Manor NY. John Cooper’s works have been performed in Asia, Europe and the United States. His 70 Opus numbers include piano solos, vocal works, symphonic works and chamber works. His publishers include Theodore Presser, Carl Fischer and Boosey & Hawkes. Paramita Productions currently publishes Cooper’s music. His compositions include Peace Cantata composed as a result of his involvement in a transatlantic Interfaith Pilgrimage following the historical path of slavery from Africa to North America.
