John Hardy



A.k.a. John Anthony Hardy

Radio personality and the San Francisco Bay Area's first African American DJ at a Top 40 music station. Worked at the following stations over the course of his career: KSAN, KYA, KSFO (San Francisco), KDIA (Oakland), KTIM (San Rafael). Passed away in 2002 at the age of 77. Was married Blanche Daniels; the couple was immortalized in the songs "John Hardy" and "John Hardy's Wife," by Duke Ellington.
