Single UK 1957 on A Colbeck-Lewis Recording label
Classical (Classical)
This rare transcription disc is owned by the artist John Hopkins, of him singing two hymns (rarely played and in good condition) at Llandaf Cathedral, Cardiff, when he was little in July 1957, singing (according to the label) "He Shall Feed His Flock" and "How Beautiful Are The Feet". It has a historical significance, by highlighting a world of music brought to light by the Colebeck-Lewis Recording Company of Cardiff (One of the earliest for recorded music in Wales from 1950), founded by the late RWCMD Lecturer "Tony" Vivian "V" Anthony, whose media legacy became famous with the college, the cathedral and further afield, until Mr Anthony passed away on Christmas day 2006 (see article here: http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/distinguished-lecturer-whose-great-passion-2280131 ) Alot of this work has yet to be known. Transcription Disc Catalogue Number 10-519. The disc was digitised by DJFM Sound Services with permission from John Hopkins https://youtu.be/SdjX0fsqGHE
