The source material for this cd was taken from a live radio broadcast (and computer manipulation) of sounds from contact and open-air microphones receiving input from where John Hudak lives in New York: On the Brooklyn-Heights promenade, over the Brooklyn-Queens expressway, facing the bottom of the east river, lower Manhatten, and the Brooklyn piers. The Broadcast took place on WKCR - 89.9 FM, NY, November 2, 2001, on the show "Live Constuctions" (http://www.columbia.edu/cu/wkcr/archives/newmusic/index.html), hosted by Frederico Marulanda Rey. The MAX//MSP patch for the broadcast was designed by david stevens (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/david.resonant)
