(1906-1993) Composer, arranger, educator; Received his Master’s degree in Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, where he subsequently taught for five years. In 1938 he joined the faculty of Tulane University, New Orleans, where he became Professor of Music and Head of Department in the College of Arts and Sciences as well as Director of Bands until his retirement in 1968.
