American jazz trumpeter and arranger. Born : circa 1900 in Norfolk, West Virginia. Died : 1935 in Boston, Massachusetts. John Nesbitt (with two 't') was a jazz trumpeter who, during the short career he played with the "Lillian Jones' Jazz Hounds" and Amanda Randolph, then from 1925 to 1931 was part of the "McKinney's Cotton Pickers" which they recorded under the name of bandleader Jean Goldkette. John also worked as an arranger for the orchestras of Fletcher Henderson and Luis Russell. After leaving in "Cotton Pickers" worked with Zack White, Speed Webb and before his death with Earle Warren.
