Started on guitar at age 10 with family and friends.High school band Majors & Sultans. Moved to Calif after school.Bands included Showdolls, Brothers Keepers, Dartells (my first pro band), Blue Rose (with Harvey Mandel). During my earlier years I played with Illinois Speed Press (with Paul Cotton) and did several demo sessions for Four Star Brad. Then I hooked up with Jim Price and did Kids Nowadays Ain't Got No Shame (with Nicky Hopkins, Jim Keltner and Klaus Voorman), and Sundegos' Traveling Orchestra. While with Jim Price I met and recorded with Harry Nilsson: Nilsson Schmilsson and Son of Schmilsson. I also played with B.B. King on B.B. King In London (with Stevie Winwood, Gary Wright). I also play on Sky(Doug Feiger of the Knack)'s Sailor's Delight and Bobby Key's self-titled album (featured Felix Pappalardi, Leslie West, Carl Radle, Corky Laing). I also recorded an album with Bill Wyman for John Walker. (John is also credited here as producer for his work with Chris Jagger). After all this I moved back to Billings, Montana and formed a group called Smokin' Gun. Since then I have done personal demos for myself and friends, such as Greg Lucas and Kostas Lasarides. John was born on June 24, 1947, to Albert Uribe Sr. and Melba DeNittis. He grew up in Laurel, later moving to Lewistown and then California. At the age of 7, John got his first guitar and from then on he mastered his talents worldwide. Harry Nilsson, Jim Price, B.B.
