The collected recordings of Dr. John Work, Fisk University educator and folklorist who gathered black folk expression in the 1930s and 1940s. Winner 2008 Grammy Award for Best Album Notes. Double-folded digipak with a 27-page booklet glued on the inner panel. Track 4 credited as "Unnamed Quartet". Track 5 credited as "Female Group/Zema Hill's Church". Track 9 and 10 credited as "Unnamed Leader & Congregation".
