This gatefold united artists high fidelity mono double LP combines UAL 4005 & UAL 4006. This represents the complete score to the film I Want to Live starring Susan Hayward as well as the Gerry Mulligan pieces which pop up in the film for example when "a radio is turned on or a record drops on a phonograph or subtly rising over the subdued murmur in a bar." Gatefold inner pages include reviews of each album. Johnny Mandel's score is reviewed by John Tynan, Associate Editor (West Coast) for Down Beat Magazine and Gerry Mulligan's pieces are reviewed by William Johns.
