b. Watertown, Maine, 1905 d. Los Angeles, California, 1984 Johnny Williams was an American jazz drummer and percussionist from the early 1930s to the late 1950s. In New York and Hollywood he worked on radio, in films, and as a recording artist. He is the father of legendary Hollywood film score composer John Williams (4), and the grandfather of singer Joseph Williams and drummer Mark T. Williams.
