Johnny Canales Y Su Orquesta were from the Corpus Christi, Texas area, formed in the late 1960s as a Tejano band, although they did perform & record several English language Rock & Soul / Funk songs. In the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, Johnny Canales had a very successful career as a latino "Dick Clark", appearing in the "Johnny Canales TV Show" which had many, many artist & bands appearing on his shows.
