Single US 1995 on Goner Records label
Alternative (Lo-Fi, Punk)
Recorded 1983 and/or 1984. With insert. Goner Archives #1. "What you are about to read is a brief history about a teenage punk rock band from Corinth, Mississippi, just an hour north of Tupelo. Johnny Vomit and The Dry Heaves were a real band that never played a public show due to no interest of the public or the band itself. Johnny Vomit was the leader and played mostly guitar, some bass and sang. Barf Barf played mostly guitar and bass and some drums. Johnny Goopa played mostly drums and synthesizer and very little guitar. The keyboardist from local new wave group "The End" played synthesizer on some of the best Vomit works from their first session. But that keyboardist was never considered to be "in the band" by The Dry Heaves. Thank to Skippy Simmons for keeping track of tapes over all these years Johnny Vomit and The Dry Heaves shit can still get on peoples nerves. Oh, by the way Vomit and The Dry Heaves formed in 1983 and split in 1984. They were influnced by (although you can't tell) The Ramones, Sex Pistols, Stray Cats, Billy Idol, Elvis, Kiss, and countless others. Read on about punk rock history! Inside!"
