Jon Dennis began his djing career in 1988 during London's fabled summer of love after growing up listening to acid house sounds in clubs like The Hippodrome, Spectrum and Pyramid. His wide range of musical influences include Yello, Peter Rauhofer, Joey Negro, Chic, Danny Tenaglia and Giorgio Moroder to name a few. He specialises in seriously full on funky uplifting peak time house sets renowned for thumping funky influenced sounds incorporating disco, vocals, latino and tribal house rhythms and attention grabbing theatrical breaks. He also specialises in tuff banging techno, and has been known to delve into trance, hardhouse and quality hi-nrg in the 1990s. His first DJing slots were in 1989 at the Kensington Roof Gardens, and also one of the very first after hours called Attitude at The Opera on The Green club in Shepherds Bush (just before Trade at Turnmills began), working alongside Daz Saund and George Mitchell of The Sharp Boys. He has held long standing DJ residencies at the world famous Heaven nightclub in London since 1990, playing all styles of music from house to techno and disco to handbag; his best residency being a long term in the Star Bar working with DJs such as Mark Bambach, D'Johnny, Slamma, Tom MacMillan, Pier Morrocco and more. In 1998 he started work for Dave Cross (of D-Bop), DJ Blu Peter and Linda Cole (of Tag Records) at the now legendary Melt night at Turnmills in London, working alongside legends such as Fidel, DJ Sneak, Joe T. Vannelli, Fat Tony and more. He has also guested regularly for Coco Lattéé in the UK and abroad. At one point he was asked to play alongside DJ legend Marc Andrews at a newly revived version of Love Muscle at The Fridge, but was forced to turn this opportunity down due to contractual commitments at Heaven. He has also toured the world guesting at many famous clubs including Le Queen Paris, Folies Pigalle Paris, Therapy Jo'Burg, Zoom Tel Aviv, Paradise Factory Manchester, Muccassasina Rome, Pervert Milan, Amnesia Ibiza and Das Boot Cologne, and the famous Navigaytion festival in Antwerp Belgium with DJs Luke Hope and Alan X. Jon has also worked with a wide range of DJs, artists and producers including Darren Afrika, Stuart Hillary, Wayne G, James Horrocks, John Truelove, Luigi Rosi, Kris Di Angelis, Andy Allder, Rachel Auburn, Henry Cullen, Seb and Porl Young.
