The music on Celestial Nile was recorded over several years, in various locations between Seattle and Glasgow. Celestial Nile is essentially contemporary world percussion for dance. Initial sections were developed in 1990 for the dance choreography El Jardin de los Misterios, made for Jacque Broques and the company Danza Hoy, in Caracas Venezuela. Additional selections and re-mixes were created in 1998.
