Electronic and Dance
Jon’s first break into the live and crowd orientation of DJ-ing was made by Detroit’s famed Dabura. As quoted by Dabura (2010): “Jon seemingly exceeds his years in his ability to gather the attention of the crowd with his mixing. He has impressed me more than anyone has in the last 5 years.” Jon Salem has been a primary developer, creationist, and coordinator for a newly formed and greatly anticipated electronic music festival, called Drop Fest, in his hometown. He also has a series of releases amongst such labels as Deep Cover, MEPHYST, Sinister Records; by combining skilled percussion sounds with tech-based, driven arrangements, Jon Salem seeks to build a well-defined experience consisting of only the highest quality tracks. In his latest work, Jon Salem has formed a new imprint, Kaiseki Digital, which seeks to adopting the principles of the japanese, kaiseki, for the creation and curation of narrative music.
