He was most famous for his 1981 platinum hit single, “Don’t Stop the Music,” popularized by Yarbrough & Peoples. He was a singer and band director for the The Drifters, lead guitarist for the legendary group The Temptations, and song writer for Burt Bacharach, Aretha Franklin, Rose Royce, etc.
