A.k.a. Jonathan Daniel Donahue Dingus (3) XJ6 Donahue
Born 6th May 1966 in Kingston, New York, USA. Current vocalist for American alternative rock band Mercury Rev. Former guitarist for American alternative rock band The Flaming Lips. Donahue became part of The Flaming Lips after billing the Butthole Surfers as an opening act for one of their gigs. It was then he became their guitar technician in which he later took up the role of being their full time guitarist. Sadly after disputes with frontman Wayne Coyne, he decided to leave the band and was replaced by Ronald Jones. With this departure, Donahue turned his full attention to Mercury Rev - which at the time has 'disbanded'. He is also, incorrectly, credited to have played the clarinet line for The Chemical Brothers' 1997 hit "The Private Psychedelic Reel" - which has been the on and off closing song to their shows ever since. The acutal performer was Mark Marinoff.
