Musician/songwriter, Jonathan Adams has been playing and recording music since he was a teen living in Tallahassee, Florida. In the 80s, he was a member of Persian Gulf a proto/pop/punk Florida-based band that toured the eastern seaboard with stops at New York’s Danceteria, Peppermint Lounge, CBGBs and Irving Plaza. Following a move to Philly and then Brooklyn, Adams later played in Echo Eight, a roots-based band and Elbow Room, described in one of the local rags as “Country Chamber” music. He also fronted the Aerials (and still does) as songwriter/singer/guitarist all the while keeping up with his home recording projects. In 1994, Jonathan moved to Atlanta. After a period of not playing out, he had the great pleasure of working with the local R&B legend Richard Marks. He has shared the stage with many gifted musicians through the years. He continues to gig with the Aerials and is a member of Jeff Evans’ rolling collection of mischief and mayhem – “Chickens and Pigs”.
