A.k.a. Jordan Zankoff
Born October 23, 1940 in Akron, Ohio. In the late 1950s, he and pals Gene Blackford, Phil DiMascio and Darrel McDonald formed a doo-wop group called the Fascinations. Following his divorce in 1964, he changed his name to Jordan Christopher and changed the group's name to Jordan And The Fascinations, who recorded for the Carol, Dapt, Crystal Ball and Josie labels. He was also the lead singer and guitarist for the Wild Ones, the house band for eight months at New York's Peppermint Lounge. He married Sybil Burton, operator of "Arthur", a new discotheque and the ex-wife of actor Richard Burton in 1965. Together they expanded her club into a popular nightclub chain with more than a dozen locations in the US. After selling the chain in 1969, Christopher went on to a career as a stage and film actor. He died of a heart attack in 1996.
