A.k.a. Jordi Batiste Triadó Rocky Muntanyola
Spanish bass player, born in 1948. Founder member of "Máquina", Jordi Batiste started his career at 15 with his brother Albert Batiste on “Els tres Tambors”: he was singer, bassist and composer. Also with his brother he entered the “Grup de Folk” with Jaume Arnella, Pau Riba, Sisa, Xesco Boi… Jordi Batiste and Enric Herrera later founded one of the most important progresssive bands in Spain in the 70's: “Màquina!”. In 1972, he formed with Ia Clúa, the duet "Ia-Batiste", another progressive band. In 1976 he entered "Orquestra Plateria " substituting Manel Joseph with “Rocky Muntanyola” alias. Later, in 1977 he formed his own orchesrra as "Jordi Batiste/Rocky Muntanyola", and in 1979 "L'Orquestra Diagonal amb R. Muntanyola". He has also sang on Dagoll Dagom's “Nit de Sant Joan”.
