Jorge Córdoba Valencia (1953) Born in México City. He is a Composer and Director. He studied at the National Conservatory of Music of Mexico and courses in composition and direction in Spain, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Hungary and the United States of America. He has participated in numerous national and international contemporary music festivals. Among his appointments and honors are: resident composer of the University of Brandon, Manitoba in Canada (2009), composer commissioned for the Cantaré Program in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA (2008-2010), winner of several choral composition contests that (2009) and Australia (2010), composer and workshop of the International Choral Festival 2011 at the International Choral Festival 2011, Quito, Ecuador and lecturer at the 2011 World Symposium on Choral Music in Puerto Madryn, Argentina.
