Jorginho Do Império (Rio de Janeiro, February 13, 1944) is a Brazilian singer, son of Mano Décio da Viola, one of the founders of Samba School Império Serrano. "Na Beira do Mar", song released in 1975, was his great success. He began his career alongside friend Martinho da Vila. In 1971 he was elected "Citizen-Samba of The State of Guanabara". In more than thirty year career, has released 24 albums and toured in Argentina, France and Japan. Currently residing in the Rio's neighborhood of Madureira, in the street that has the name of his father and is close to the Império Serrano. He was the principal interpreter of Império Serrano in two carnivals. In 1997, he was at the front of the microphone when the school brought the theme "O Mundo dos Sonhos de Beto Carrero". He returned to the post in 1999, when the plot was "Uma Rua Chamada Brasil". On both occasions, the Império Serrano was demoted to the Access Group A and also in school, he served as director of Carnival. Jorginho also and radio, where he runs the program from Radio Shack Free Samba 1440, along with Marcelo Pacific.
