Brazilian bassist, pianist, composer, arranger. [For the Brazilian violin player, please use José Alves (2).] Also known as Zezinho (in his early recordings during the 50s and 60s) and later as Zé Bicão. Worked as a bassist with Tenório Jr., Milton Banana, Leny Andrade, Luiz Carlos Vinhas and many others. As a pianist, he played with Raul De Souza and Frank Rosolino in the 70s. Did his last sessions with José Roberto Bertrami in the 80s.
