JOSÉ BENEDITO is Doctor of Music (2013) by the Federal University of Rio de Janerio - UNIRIO, under the guidance of Dr. Sergio Barrenechea, where he conducted research on "Orchestral Excerpts for Flute Brazilians." Master in Music (1997) by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ in class flutist and professor Dr. Celso Woltzenlogel, having defended the dissertation "PIXINGUINHA: Presence and Application in Study of Flute in Brazil," under the guidance of Professor Dr. Maryland Lopes. He graduated in flute (1990) from the University of Brasilia - UNB, in the class of renowned French flutist, living in Brazil, Odette Ernest Dias teacher. Also conducted guidelines studies and performance with flutists: Toninho Carrasqueira (SP), Tadeu Coelho (USA), Keith Underwood (USA), Nivaldo de Souza (DF), Renato Axelrud (RJ), Beatriz Castro (DF), Rogério Wolf (SP), Marcos Kiehl (SP), among others. In 1990 he took up residence in the city of Vitória - ES to act as flutist of the Espírito Santo Symphony Orchestra (OSES) and in 1992 took the flute teacher chair of the School of Music of the Espírito Santo (FAMES).
