American baritone jazz singer from NYC, of Irish and Panamanian descent, born 20 January 1978 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. He achieved much success after DJ Gilles Peterson signed him to his new independent label Brownswood Recordings in the late 2000s. He has also recorded tracks for other artists, most notably Italian musician and producer Nicola Conte, on his album "Rituals" (2008). Also a shared project, together with Jef Neve, on album "For All We Know" (2010).
