Spanish composer from Mondoñedo (Lugo), 1784 -1865. More than 300 works composed. "Miserere" written in 1805, the salm "Dixit Dominus" composed in 1816, "Crudelis Herod" for choir to 4 voices and his "Plorans" that is still sung in the processions of Holy Week. He also composed Galician carols, muiñeiras and alboradas. In many of his compositions he uses elements of Galician folklore.
