A.k.a. Joseph Mercado Alter Egoz DJ Dimension MegaMen Moody Groova William Rosario
Influenced by the NYC underground club culture in the late 80s, Joseph Mercado under the moniker "DJ Dimension", began spinning at various NYC clubs & lounges with DJ sets that spanned musical styles; House Music, Funk, Disco, Hip Hop & rare groove. In the late 90's he reached music production success and teamed up with William Rosario as one-half of "The MegaMen" going on to release on esteemed underground labels Strictly Rhythm, King Street ,Waako, Next Moove Traxx, Azucar, soon after on his first label imprint MegaMen Sounds. In 2005, Joseph Mercado moved to Phoenix, Arizona then soon formed next dimension music. The decision to launch next dimension music arose from a culmination of factors both in and outside the fickle industry. Joseph Mercado's vision for a label was a design based on the 6 core elements in the label's motto and the 4th factor; would be the foundation by which he attributes the labels success, actively staying on the pulse of how customers listen and purchase music. Joseph Mercado's formula has set the stage for creative expression without limits or boundaries, allowing this music creator limitless possibilities and the opportunity to launch individualistic styles into the universe of sound, blasting off from the next dimension music platform. This platform has lead to global exposure including licensing next dimension music product onto compilations for esteemed labels such as Nervous Records,Jokey Club Ibiza, Armada Music, Groove On, Wax n' Soul, Big City Beats and most recently inked a deal licensing “Crush” by Brandon Michael to appear on the Hulu Original Series East Los High Season 4. In 2015 next dimension music celebrated its 10 year anniversary at the 25th Winter Music Conference in SouthBeach Miami featuring the label boss along with a star studded lineup of Grammy nominated dj’s Todd Terry, Eddie Amador plus hard hitting veteran producers William Rosario and Doc Link. Since then Joseph Mercado has continued to push the underground vibe, as a label owner in 2016 Joseph Mercado has gained support from Traxsource, curating a catalog that produced 13 singles that reached the top 100 and 17 singles that were featured on the digital outlet spanning the multiples genres of underground House Music from Deep, Jackin, Soulful and Afro House to Tech House, Progressive and even Chillout. Since then Joseph Mercado has continued to push the underground vibe. As a label owner in 2016 Joseph Mercado has gained support from Traxsource, curating a catalog that produced 13 singles that reached the top 100 and 17 singles that were featured on the digital outlet spanning the multiples genres of underground House Music from Deep, Jackin, Soulful and Afro House to Tech House, Progressive and even Chillout. In-between running next dimension music and his busy DJ schedule, Joseph Mercado also has recently produced on MoBlack Records, Gotta Have Faith, Sweatin' Records and on his rebooted sub-label Surge which specializes in leftfield tech infused sounds. Joseph Mercado enters 2017 reflecting on 25 years being a dj with his collective efforts and contributions to the Dance Music community recently gaining attention and support of some of the industries best talent such as Oscar G, Mood 2 Swing and DJ Heather, showing signs that Joseph Mercado's underground journey has only begun.
