American violinist, born 10 September 1930 in Chicago, Illinois and died 27 June 2011 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the father of Lawrence Golan. Member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra 1953 - 2002, as principal second violin from 1969 until 2002.
