According to Les Fancourt and Bob McGrath, "The Blues Discography 1943-1970" (Eyeball Productions, 2007), both sides were recorded in New York City on November 14, 1945. There are at least four separate pressings of this release; this version issued with a black label, and with side A titled as above (other pressings list this title as "I Left A Good Deal In Mobile").
